| | Nationally Known Marriage Experts Leading Cheraw Conference | Dale and Jena Forehand were both raised in church and came from fine Christian homes; they felt pretty secure about entering their married life. But by 1996 their marriage had reached an all-time low. "There was no love, no joy, no relationship," they say. Throughout this time, both were very active in church - Dale a deacon and Jena a wonderful singer. They taught a young married Sunday School class. From the outside, they seemed to have a perfect marriage. Looks were deceiving.

| | Financial Aid Is Available With Proper Planning | February is Financial Aid Awareness Month, which makes it the perfect time to complete the Free Application for Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA) form and learn more about financial aid.
About 30 percent of FAFSA forms processed are randomly selected to go through a verification process. The Department of Education has updated regulations for students who are selected for FAFSA verification. Due to these regulations, the Financial Aid Office can no longer accept copies of Federal Tax Returns. Students whose FAFSA has been selected for Verification must use the IRS Data Retrieval Process on the FAFSA or request a copy of their Tax Return Transcript by calling the IRS at (800) 908-9946.
|  | | Cheraw Arts Commission Quilt Exhibit Opening | The Cheraw Arts Commission presents a gallery opening reception on Tuesday, February 7 from 5:00-6:30pm at the Burr Gallery. The public is invited to attend the gallery opening featuring Art/Humanity: Contemporary African American Fiber Art Exhibit. Also included are quilts by local quilter, Lorraine Bridges. There will be a reading by Felicia Flemming McCall of The Patchwork Quilt by author Valerie Flournoy. Parents and children are encouraged to attend the reading and exhibit.

Hull | February is Black History Month, a time to honor African Americans whose work positively impacts our country. South Carolina's Frankye C. Hull is one of those special individuals. Last year, Michael Piraino, CEO of National CASA (National Court-Appointed Special Advocate Association) posted on the National CASA blog that black history continues to be made by those who are famous and those who are not. He focused on a few of his personal heroes who are making a difference in the lives of children, including Volunteer Guardian at Litem Frankye Hull. Mrs. Hull was National CASA's 2009 National Child Advocate of the Year.
